Cities most affected included Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and Ahmedabad, which saw around 191 flight cancellations.

Among the high-profile travelers impacted were Rahul Vaidya, Nia Sharma, Ali Goni, Anjali Arora, and Naresh Vijay Krishna, the step-brother of Telugu actor Mahesh Babu.

Rahul Vaidya’s ₹4.2 Lakh Setback
Rahul Vaidya revealed the financial blow caused by the cancellations. Sharing pictures of multiple boarding passes on Instagram, he wrote that the disruptions had cost him ₹4.2 lakh, while also expressing frustration over uncertainty regarding reaching his Kolkata show that night.

Nia Sharma’s Ordeal and Costly Travel
Nia Sharma also voiced her anger on Instagram, describing the chaos at the airport. She noted that her team of four was traveling to the same destination on three different flights and highlighted the exorbitant cost of domestic travel, sharing that her boarding pass alone was ₹54,000 for a domestic journey.

Anjali Arora Stranded Overnight
Anjali Arora endured a long ordeal at Mumbai airport, stuck from 1:30 AM to 7 PM the next day. In a video post, she warned passengers not to trust flight display boards, explaining that many flights listed as “on time” were actually cancelled. She advised travelers to book alternative flights with other airlines immediately rather than waiting for Indigo updates.

Ali Goni Calls for Another Domestic Airline
Ali Goni vented on X (formerly Twitter), criticizing Indigo’s mismanagement and soaring fares with other airlines, calling for another domestic carrier to enter the market to prevent such crises.

Naresh Vijay Krishna Witnesses Chaos
Naresh Vijay Krishna described scenes of chaos at Hyderabad airport, including altercations between ground staff and passengers. He also criticized modern airport security measures for violating privacy and stressed the importance of masks amid crowded flights becoming breeding grounds for bacteria.

Indigo’s Operational Struggles
Indigo Airlines, India’s largest carrier, has been facing operational challenges recently. In November 2025 alone, the airline cancelled 1,200 flights, with numerous others suffering long delays.
