Khargone, Madhya Pradesh: In a tragic incident near the CISF Training Centre in Barwah, Khargone, the body of a jawan was found hanging from a tree. Authorities are investigating the circumstances, and no suicide note was recovered from the scene. Colleagues suggest the jawan was reportedly troubled due to family-related issues.
Details of the Incident
The deceased has been identified as Constable Jitendra Yadav, 32, who was posted at the CISF training centre in Barwah. He had been missing since 10 November, prompting a search operation by the CISF and local police. His body was discovered near a nullah, about 4 kilometers from Barwah, in a state of decomposition.
According to police, Jitendra Yadav was primarily assigned vehicle-driving duties in the CISF and hailed from Alwar, Rajasthan. No suicide note was found, but preliminary reports indicate the possibility of suicide due to personal family problems. The deceased leaves behind a wife and two children.
Investigation and Postmortem
The discovery occurred when villagers reported a foul smell near the nullah, prompting the police to investigate. The area was immediately cordoned off, and Khargone SP Ravindra Verma, along with a forensic team and CISF officials, visited the site for a detailed examination. The body was subsequently taken to Barwah Civil Hospital for postmortem, the report of which is expected within a day or two.
Background of the Jawan
Jitendra Yadav had joined the CISF in 2015 as a constable driver and had been stationed in Barwah for the past three years. On 10 November, he reportedly left the barracks to go to the market but never returned. CCTV footage later showed him heading towards MG Road, and police believe he may have taken his life on the same day he went missing. His family in Rajasthan has been informed and is en route to Khargone.
This incident underscores the need for mental health awareness and support for personnel facing personal stress, as authorities continue the investigation.
