Saharanpur/Jammu & Kashmir: The investigation into Dr. Adil Ahmed, a resident of Anantnag in Jammu & Kashmir, has intensified after a car purchased from Saharanpur came under scrutiny. The vehicle, an Alto bearing registration UP11BD3563, was recovered from Parvez Ansari’s residence and had an Integral University sticker affixed.
According to sources, Dr. Adil purchased the car from an individual in Saharanpur and had obtained a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for transfer to Lucknow. However, the vehicle was never officially registered in his name, nor has it been transferred to anyone else to date. This irregularity has raised concerns for investigating agencies.
Investigation Underway
The J&K Police and intelligence agencies have begun questioning the seller involved in the transaction. The incomplete registration process is now being treated as suspicious, as authorities suspect the vehicle may have been used in dubious activities linked to the ongoing terror probe.
Following the seizure, Lucknow ATS, along with J&K Police, raided Parvez Ansari’s residence, confiscating laptops and other critical documents. All vehicle-related documents have also been taken into custody, and registration records are under detailed examination.
Investigators are working to determine how and for what purposes Dr. Adil used the vehicle, and why the registration transfer was not completed despite the NOC. The findings could have significant implications in the ongoing terror case.
